Airspot is a revolutionary concept that has been launched for the very first time, in India. An Airspot router doesn't only allow you to immediately WiFi your Internet connection, but also allows you to share a part of your bandwidth with others around you, in turn earning a couple of bucks on the side. Airspot Host?

The person who owns the Airspot router is termed as a 'Host'.

Every Host can create 2 user accounts who can access the Internet for free, at the Host location. Such accounts are called 'Guests'.

Someone who pays for the Internet connection at a Host's Airspot location is termed as a 'Visitor'.

A hotspot is a site that offers Internet access over a wireless local area network through the use of a router connected to a link to an Internet service provider. Hotspots typically use WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) technology for the wireless network. Such a hotspot is called a WiFi Hotspot.

802.11n is a newer standard of WiFi LAN, or wireless local area network technology, subsequent to standards 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g. The standard is actually known as IEEE 802.11n, as it is a protocol developed by the international non-profit Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. In simpler terms, a router with 802.11n compliance, has the highest data transfer speed (150Mbps-300mbps) and are more capable to pass through barriers like furnitures and walls, than the ones with other specifications. Yes, the Airspot router is 802.11n compliant.

The Airspot Router allows the Owner to decide how much of his Internet bandwidth should be shared with the Visitor / Guest. The sharing ratio can range from 100%:0% to 0%:1000%.

Free roaming is defined as the ability to access the network from any place, any time, with the exiting user ID and password.

Airlink would offer a fixed share between the public and private users where 30% would go for public users and rest 70% is kept reserved for the Airspot owner. In the later versions, there would also be an additional feature where the host can completely use the bandwidth by switching off the Airspot signal and not allowing any visitor / guest.

It's Airlink who decides on the price plans. Airlink offers a common plan for the Airspot community in which 50% of the total revenue goes to the Airspot owner and the rest half goes to Airlink. The amount would be paid to the host when it reaches a minimum of `. 1000. The due amount would be paid to the Airspot owner by cheque to the given billing address. Therefore, it's important to give the accurate billing information at the time of registration.

Yes, it is possible to switch off the public SSID via the router's settings URL.

Usually visitors are bound to exceed the total download limit that the owner posseses. It is advisable for the Airspot owner to go for unlimited connectivity which solves the issue of download limit control.

Unfortunately, the Guests can not roam on the Airspot network and can access the Internet only on the Host location where it was created.

At every Airspot location, you can purchase Internet access passes online, using your credit card. All you need to do is connect to the "Airspot-Public" network and open a page on the browser. The payment options shall load up automatically.

We shall make our payouts by the 10th of every month, provided your earnings reach a minimum of ` 100. In case they don't, then your earnings shall keep getting accumulated in a virtual bucket and shall be paid out by the 10th of every quarter.
